How You Can Help The Shelter Dog Rescue Project

There are many ways you can help the Shelter Dog Rescue Project.

Monetary Donations: The Shelter Dog Rescue Project is funded entirely through adoption fees and the fundraising efforts of the students involved with the program. Monetary donations are always welcome and will be used to fund spays and neuters, to provide supplies to foster families working with our rescued dogs, to pay for medical care, and to provide advertising to find permanent, loving homes for our graduates. If you are interested in supporting the project with a monetary donation, please send your check made payable to "Canine Medicine Club" to:

Corporate Sponsorship : If you own a business and are interested in sponsoring one of our dogs, please see our Sponsorship Page for more info on this program! In exchange for your support, we will post a banner ad on the adoption page of your sponsored dog!

Needed Supplies: We are always in need of dog-related supplies. Currently, we are most in need of crates, exercise pens, dog toys, food, collars, and leashes. If you have something you would like to donate, please contact us at shelterdog@ucdavis.edu or call 530-792-6177.

Foster Homes: Our program relies upon the local families who open their homes and their hearts to the dogs in our program. If you're interested in fostering a Shelter Dog, please see our Foster page for more information.

Adoptive Homes: The ultimate goal of the program is to place our Shelter Dogs in permanent, loving homes. If you're looking for a canine companion, please see our Adoption page for more information.
